Telephone and video conferencing

The Industrial Court of Queensland and Queensland Industrial Relations Commission provide telephone and video conferencing facilities for our court users. You will however need to seek the approval of the member conciliating or hearing your matter in the first instance.

This can be done by sending your request via email to qirc.registry@qirc.qld.gov.au.

Practice Note 1 of 2014 provides further information around the taking of evidence by telephone or video link.  The Practice Note has no application to conferences, including dismissal conferences and conferences conducted pursuant to s552A of the Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003. It is applicable where submissions are to be made in a hearing.
